A dynamic incubator of initiatives: What follows is a list of Key Collaborations & Projects coinceived, discussed and developed during the Todi Circle Week
Sofía Maduro (Todi Fellow, 2025) – FEP (Todi Circle Sponsor)
Sofía Maduro, Chief Programs Officer at the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, has contributed to the development of three outdoor exhibitions produced by FEP in Florida, including The High Life: Contemporary Photography and the Birds and Flora Imaginaria, both curated by William Ewing and Danaé Panchaud. These projects have advanced FEP’s public-facing curatorial programme and expanded its engagement with outdoor exhibition forma
Rose Shoshana (Todi Circle Library Sponsor)
During the Todi week, Rose reconnected with Martin Parr (Todi Fellow 2025) and they discussed new projects and ideas. Sadly, they were unable to move forward because of Martin’s death. However, their conversations inspired “Homage to Martin Parr,” an exhibition held in Los Angeles in February 2026. That show also prompted Michael Benson (Todi Fellow 2012) to organize a similar tribute, which opened shortly thereafter during London Photo. Rose also re-connected with Mia Fineman (Todi Fellow 2025) and through that connection they later met Graciela Iturbide, and the Metropolitan Museum subsequently acquired a work by Graciela.
Julie Bonzon (Todi Fellow, 2024) – FEP (Todi Circle Sponsor)
Julie Bonzon currently serves as Associate Curator at the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography (FEP Suisse), where she contributes to major exhibitions and retrospectives, including those on Nadav Kander, Slim Aarons, and Roberto Matta. Her work draws on her doctoral research in South African photography and decolonial studies.
Azu Nwagbogu (Todi Fellow, 2024) – FEP (Todi Circle Sponsor)
Azu Nwagbogu, Curator and Founder of the African Artists’ Foundation and LagosPhoto Festival, is involved in FESTAC@50, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1977 Second World Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture. The initiative reexamines FESTAC’s role as a key platform for African art, cultural exchange, and political discourse, and is being considered in relation to FEP’s forthcoming exhibition project on Grace Jones, curated by Julia Crooks.
Timothy Persons – Sophy Thompson (Todi Fellows, 2023)
Their meeting sparked a collaboration that led to the Zofia Kulik exhibition at the Warsaw Museum of Modern Art (opening in 2027), as well as a dedicated publication launched at Paris Photo 2025. The book played a pivotal role in securing major acquisitions of Kulik’s work by both the V&A and the Tate
Thomas Demand (Todi Fellow, 2017) – FEP (Todi Circle Sponsor)
Thomas Demand’s exhibition The Stutter of History, curated by Douglas Fogle, represents a major FEP touring project. The exhibition has been presented internationally across three continents and explores themes of constructed imagery and historical representation in Demand’s practice.
Philip Tinari (Todi Fellow, 2016) – FEP (Todi Circle Sponsor)
Philip Tinari, former Director of UCCA, has collaborated on three major FEP exhibitions, hosting Coming into Fashion (2017), curated by Nathalie Herschdorfer; Civilization: The Way We Live Now (2019), curated by William Ewing and Holly Roussell; and Thomas Demand: The Stutter of History (2022), curated by Douglas Fogle. These projects build on the longstanding institutional partnership between FEP and UCCA.
Mary DelMonico – Philip Tinari (Todi Fellows, 2016)
After attending the Todi Circle, they co-published the David Diao exhibition catalogue at the Ullens Center (Beijing)
Mary DelMonico – Michael Wilson (Todi Fellows, 2016)
Their meeting led to the submission of DelMonico Books to the Kraszna-Krausz Book Award; since 2016, four DelMonico Books have been long listed and Isaac Julien: Lessons of the Hour – Frederick Douglass won the 2023 Photography Book Award.
Mary DelMonico – Darius Himes (Todi Fellows, 2016)
After meeting in Todi, Mary has been invited to participate in the third and expanded edition of Himes’ publication “Publish Your Photography Book“
Massimo Vitali – Thomas Zander (Todi Fellows, 2016)
Meetingin Todi, years later, led to a significant acquisition of Massimo’s work by the Swiss investment group FAIG (www.faig.ch).
David Campany (Todi Fellow, 2015) – FEP (Todi Circle Sponsor)
David Campany, Director of the International Center of Photography (ICP), has contributed as curator to two major retrospective exhibitions produced by FEP: William Klein: All the World’s a Stage and Nadav Kander: The Edge of Things The latter will premiere at FOAM, Amsterdam, in September 2026, with support from Julie Bonzon on behalf of FEP.
Katy Grannan (Todi Fellow, 2015) – FEP (Todi Circle Sponsor)
Photographer Katy Grannan contributed to Civilization: The Way We Live Now, a major FEP touring exhibition curated by William Ewing and Holly Roussell, which examines contemporary global society. The exhibition is currently presented at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich.

Photographer Richard Misrach participated in Civilization: The Way We Live Now, curated by William Ewing and Holly Roussell, contributing photographic works that address both the achievements and challenges of contemporary society.

Anne Tucker, former Curator of Photography at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH), has played a key role in strengthening institutional collaboration between MFAH and FEP, particularly in relation to the Thomas Demand retrospective Thomas Demand: The Stutter of History, curated by Douglas Fogle, which was presented at MFAH in 2024.

Ed Burtynsky’s retrospective exhibition Extraction / Abstraction, curated by Marc Mayer and produced by FEP, was presented at the Seoul Museum of History from late 2025 to early 2026 as part of its international tour, further extending the global reach of FEP’s programme.

Tobia Bezzola, former Director of MASI Lugano, hosted FEP’s exhibition William Wegman: Being Human, curated by William Ewing, from late 2019 to early 2020. The presentation marked the fourth venue in a six-venue international tour, contributing to the exhibition’s broader circulation.
